But tucked inside is the delightful foldaway ironing board. Simply slide the cabinet door open and lift the board to the full upright position. A stability cone slides down to cover the board’s support brace for extra stability and security while you iron. From the open position, the board’s height adjusts. A palm adjust allows standing users to adjust the board’s height from above. A U-shaped lever on the underside of the board allows the height to be adjusted from a seated position. This built-in ironing board is completely wheelchair accessible, so everyone in your home can be well-pressed. When you’re finished ironing, simply return the board to the highest position and fold the board down, nose to the floor. Slide the door closed, and your foldaway ironing board is hidden out of sight until the next time you need it. The foldaway ironing board can be tailored to your home or office needs, whether it’s in your laundry room, closet, kitchen, or bath. It rests on the floor against any wall. A baseboard cutout along the base of the unit allows the foldaway to stand on the floor and rest flush against the wall. And the narrow top provides a convenient shelf. The unit comes installed with a left-sliding door. But you can change the direction in which the door opens by simply removing the door and flipping it so that the bottom slide becomes the top slide. Re-install the door, and, voila, your foldaway ironing board is customized to you! I really like the way this folding ironing board sits on the floor instead of requiring insertion between wall studs. The cut out to accommodate the floor moulding is very good design. The first one came in with shipping damage and it was replaced with days.

Spectacular Space Saver..! Installation was a piece of cake. Reason why I purchased this particular item? As with all married folk there is forever differences & opinions on how things should look in the household. Having an ironing board, iron, electrical cords, starch & water spritzer’s, etc. as permanent fixtures in the Master Bedroom really didn’t work for me. Soooo, I initiated an internet search & found your right practical ‘Iron & Fold Built in Ironing Board’ & I smiled. Purchased it; not to make a point, but to utilize space. Put the Missus’s regular ironing board into the laundry room where it should have been housed in the first place. She hasn’t said so but I think she likes it.
The history behind the purchase is one thing for sure. However, the ‘Iron & Fold’ is a wonderful and thoughtful piece of engineering for those of us living in smaller quarters. It works beautifully! Would I recommend your ‘Iron & Fold’ built in ironing board? Absolutely!

My wife needed an ironing board for her sewing room that didn’t take too much space.Looked for other wall mounted units but none were suitable.Found this one and it was perfect.Much easier to mount than other boards since most of the weight was on the floor.The adjustable heights are a bonus.

We just built a new home and lo looked at the in-wall mount kind and i thought they were cheaply made.I have had the drawer-pull out style but thought they were expensive and had limitations on larger items.I was about to give up and just have my standard ironing board up all the time in my new laundry room.I don’t have this installed yet but I have checked it out throughly, it is well made and looks to be very sturdy, I think I can paint the outside the same color as our walls so it will “disappear” when not in use.If I ever need to change it out I will just have two wall anchors to patch, instead of a big hole in my wall.I am super excited to start using the product.My husband even said ” good job on this purchase”.

As advertised.No more lugging the iron board all over the house and trying to find the closest door to put in behind.We put this right behind the laundry room door.It is thin enough where it does not interfere with the door closing.Wife absolutely loves it!Happy wife, happy life!Good stuff!
