My cat is about 11lbs. and this is very roomy for him. Hes a nervous cat so transporting him in this was very comforting for him because he could see me through the mesh plus I can unzip the top a little to allow him to poke his head out and look around. The pockets on the side allow for carrying his treats. The straps are sturdy and I really like the soft pad for the bottom. Its a really nice pet carrier.
