Made of natural coir, a dense fiber that is naturally molded and mildew resistant. Coir is a renewable resource that is durable and coarse, excellent for scraping shoes clean. Updated review! Peyton was a disappointment. The mat was beautiful and looked SO good on my front step… HOWEVER… buyer beware. The mat does not stand up to regular use. It immediately started to shed, which I overlooked initially given it was brand new. The fibers completely pulled out anytime anyone walked across it, nevermind wiping boots and shoes. I wound up with more fibers/material from this mat all over the front porch and inside my home. It created more mess vs. having nothing, so we tossed it. My husband threw it out before I could take an after photo. AVOID!!

This is the best rug for outside! It is thick andheavy duty!! It is long enough for our front porch! Just make sure you read the measurements- it is very long and may not work best for every front porch!
