I purchased this to stabilize an 10 foot umbrella. It held the biggest umbrella in the wind. I have never had such good results. I filled each piece with sand. This process took a while because to opening in each piece is better designed for water, but sand is a bit heavier so I felt it was the way to go. The pieces fit perfectly and did not interfere with the foot pedal used the release the umbrella to adjust its position. Would recommend this to any and everyone.

We purchased the Terrera 11′ Cantilever Umbrella and this base works great with it! I do agree with the other reviews though that it can be tricky to fasten together.
