A large durable and sturdy base for our 11’ cantilever umbrella. Easy to fill with water up to 220 lbs. I opted not to add sand so it would be easy to drain and move off our deck during the cold northern U.S. winters. Filling it with water alone provides a sufficient counterweight in windy conditions.A few other reviewers commented that the base came without directions. Frankly, it comes out of the box pre-assembled with its own cross bars already attached. All that is needed is to attach the umbrella to the weighted base using the hardware that comes with the umbrella. It’s that simple. I did not have to move the threaded screw fasteners, but if you do need to do so that can be done relatively easily by unscrewing the fasteners from the bottom of the base and moving them to one of the adjacent wholes.

This stand was easy to put together and holds the large 10×10 umbrella in place. I use it on a roof deck and with the wind it still firmly holds the umbrella in place. I filled it with water and it’s a great way to keep the umbrella from tipping over.

These bases are heavy! We have 10 ft square umbrellas mounted to them. A nice feature was that the cross base that came with the umbrellas was made unnecessary by these bases. The cross base comes assembled and built into this base. So we were able to skip a step in assembling our umbrellas. This base definitely keeps the umbrellas in place!
