Vitamix FoodCycler® FC-50

OMG I can’t say enough about how cool this thing is! I do a lot of cooking, and now I can finally use the vegetable scraps, egg shells, and coffee grounds to make compost. We added it to our vegetable garden and tomato pots and everything is growing so well. It is an investment, but has already paid it forward for our plants and the environment. We keep ours at the bottom of our basement stairs (so it’s not on the countertop, but still very accessible), and it is quiet so we don’t hear it. I usually have a pot of scraps to compost about 4 days a week. Cleaning is easy, and because of the filter, there is no smell at all. We keep the bucket in our pantry while it is being filled.

Does exactly what it says. I did run too much soft and wet stuff and it wasn’t ready… so I ran it again and it came out great! I love this product!

i am glad that i bought this to deal with vegetable and fruit scraps before odors and fruit flies come.once dried i can store the compost indefinitely until garden season.

I remember as a ‘youth’ saving up the fair money (long story) to buy a Vitamix blender demonstrated at a booth at the fair.now, being much much older and wiser, I’m glad to have a Vitamix Food Cycler.it moves me into the 21st century when it comes to composting.
