56″ H In-Ground Decorative Post

Good Quality!This is a trivial matter, but there were a few scars on the post when it arrived…….nothing that a few squirts from a black glossy spray paint can can’t address.I took a measurement as to how deep to dig the hole (about 19 inches); dug the hole; drop the unit in the hole; carefully poured ready-mix in while tamping; checked to make sure that the post remained level as I went.The whole process took about 35-45 minutes by and old 69 year old man. I will wait about 24 hours before mounting the mailbox to the post so the concrete can dry solid.I purchased a large mailbox which will require the wood to be replaced that came with the unit (no big deal).Advice: If you are replacing a mailbox post where the mailbox sat dead center over the old post, note that a new post hole will need to be dug farther from the road because the this post is at the rear of the box instead of the center. Otherwise, you may have a mailbox that protrudes too far into the street/road.
