The lamp shade feels like cheap, flimsy plastic, but I don’t have any pets or children so I don’t think falling and cracking will be a problem. Bulb is not replaceable, it was in the description but I didn’t read it. Wish I knew ahead of time, I wouldn’t have gotten it otherwise. Hopefully it lasts a few years though! Arm is sturdy, and holds well. Nice bright light for my art studio.
For a $100+ lamp I would expect a little more; sturdier shade and replaceable bulb.
