I had torn out an old and barely functional intercom system and replaced it with the Ring doorbell and chimes. The chimes work great! I have one on the main floor and one in the basement which has been really helpful since the cheap wireless doorbell I had before only had one ringer and I couldn’t hear it down there. It was also very simple to install.
If you have other Ring products (security lightscameras, etc) you can link them up to the chimes as well. So I can get a chime in the basement if someone pulls into the driveway. You can’t currently sync them with the interior Ring Alarm system, but I’m hoping that will be added in the future.
