I was amazed how much it held, one small pan nested inside a larger one sitting on a paper plate to prevent scratching, you would think it might get wobbly, doesn’t, so glad I got it, tired of hubby reaching for a pan and either scratching one or worse, they all tumbled to the floor, we had them vertical on either side of a double wire plate rack, nice idea but with big pans needed a deeper shelf they just rolled forward to easily, haven’t hurt a pan crash to floor since I bought this and the handles are easily to reach, glad I bought it
