GET IT! It’s perfect. Dare I say attractive So easy to install and use. Now I can sit on the porch and relax and not jump up every time the babies get close to the steps, for fear that they will fall. For peace of mind, do yourself a favor and get this gate.

Installation was made easy with really good instructions, and the spacer plates made for a perfectly even install against a tall baseboard. I did purchase 8 2” wood screws to ensure a deep enough “bite” into the studs behind baseboard and drywall.Very happy with this gate

The gates look great. Are very strong. Can easily see through them. They are more than one finger and open, like it described. Takes both my hands to open and close it.
Problem is the unlock dial freezes in cold weather and they can’t be opened or closed. I thought they were indoor / outdoor worthy.
They do keep the six dogs on the porch. Recommend them. Really like them but for the freeze part.

Works wonderfully for keeping our dogs from the stairs/accessing upstairs while we’re away. They haven’t attempted to jump over the gate, even though both of them easily could (90lb German Shepherd and 70lb Lab/Pit mix). It is JUST wide enough to stretch across the bottom of our wide stairs, which is why I went for this size. The stairs are carpeted, and the GSD will chew carpet when stressed/anxious about being home without us, and this gate was the answer. The dogs have free roam of the entire downstairs and haven’t messed with the gate at all. The gate is slightly see through, which is fine, however it is a little difficult to pull across and latch or unlatch with one hand, but that’s fine with us. I do recommend reinforcing where you attach the side with the roll-up part, because ours started to get loose, but with some reinforcement into a stud it holds up perfectly.

We love it ! We bought two. Easy to install and, looks nice and neat. We were using another gate before that was really pretty, but the puppies kept finding a way to sneak in lol. This definitely does the job. A little to get used to , turning the know to unlock and pull back the gate , but you get used to it. Would definitely purchase again .

Very discreet for when not in use we got this for our 1 year old to stay out of the kitchen when cooking. It’s definitely strong we couldn’t get past it but does require mounting into the wall,originally we tried to put it at the top of our stairs but it wouldn’t mount there so we picked another spot.

I love how sleek this safety gate.It is not bulky and looks stylish while still serving its purpose.The only drawback is that in order to retract or extend the gate you have to turn the dial.I hoped that you can just press a button or something like that, but nevertheless, I still love it!

I really like the look of these retractable gates. I purchased them to prevent my dogs going up the stairs or through the archway between rooms. They look so much better than other gates. They take some getting used to for opening and closing since you need two hands to do it.
