The Zachary has a soft hand applied graywash paint finish making each shelf unique in character and its own individual masterpiece. Transitional design that fits comfortably into a contemporary or traditional setting makes this piece the perfect addition to your indoor or out-door room. The ample 9 inch shelf depth allows plenty of display room. Pre-drilled metal hanger board, exclusive to this piece, allows for ease of hanging. Perfect mantle for my outside !! It was hard to find something i loved but this was it.
The purpose of this is solely to block the HEAT of the fireplace and the TV and it does a great job !
Just as a side not, and doesn’t affect my review but it is VERY EASY TO CHIP so leave the bubble wrap on to install it like i did. Lol

Really pleased with how this turned out. We have a wood burning fp and need a lightweight non-combustible shelf. Were originally going to go with limestone for shelf to match the hearth but it was too heavy.This was reasonably priced and goes well, I wish they had more color options than just gray and white! Paid for expedited shipment and came on time. Good buy overall.

We’ve run the gas fireplace and have not had any heat issues at all with the mantel. We’ll know more when we can use the fireplace more, which won’t be anytime soon. It’s near the century mark today.

We chose this for the color as it was the best match to what we wanted to do with the stone we are placing.Plus it states it can take the heat which is a great bonus.Although hanging at the correct distances away from the heat it gives an added security it won’t get overly hot. The mantle has striations/lines within and not a uniform color which I really like it (see photo of mantle side) and it adds to the overall look.Great quality, easy to hang and light weight while looking substantial.I have enclosed a photo of the stone we are using although we have not started that project yet.Our wood floors have hues of grey too and this pulls it all together.
