These units are solidly built and mount securely to the wall.The horizontal bar can easily be cut to any length needed with a hacksaw.I couldn’t find a towel bar to use in my kitchen for a hand towel so I just cut one of these down to about ten inches.It works beautifully.Be careful when you open the packaging — on one of the units I purchased the tiny set screws had become separate from the holders and were loose in the packaging. (They are tiny and could easily be overlooked and lost. The little screws just screw back into the covers.)
