The size was exactly as described and fit my fireplace opening perfectly. Assembly was less than 3 minutes and it came with everything you need. My fireplace is not an operating fireplace so I cannot comment on heat interaction.The doors are held shut with a strong magnet.The doors open easily so you can access the inside.I keep candles that illuminate by batteries. Great item!

The photo doesn’t do it justice. It has a beautifully ornate appearance and is well built. It’s flowers and leaves. The silver they talk about in the description is the distressed look underneath color. I expect to have many years of reliable use from this product. I am so glad I got it!

This is such an elegant fire screen. It makes my fireplace look so cozy now. The best part, it’s flush with the wall of the fireplace, which I’d purchased two other ones and they stuck out pretty far from the wall and looked tacky. Would recommend this to a friend.

This fireplace screen brings a bit of elegance to our brick fireplace. The darkness of the iron is a great contrast to the white and grey of the brick, and compliments the decor above the wooden mantelpiece. I like how easily it opens and closes too. It’s a winner!

It sported the old brass-like screen that was so popular back in the day. It had to go.Welcome Wayfair and its abundant products. This fireplace screen is much, much prettier in person. It’s sturdy. The metal is thicker than it looks in photo. I absolutely love what it has done to the living room. After we paint the fireplace and the walls….voila…..an updated and handsome living room.
