Due to the looped cotton construction, some threads may come undone after washing/drying; simply cut and trim any loose threads by hand as needed. Really like rugs.. wanted something neutral for my bathroom and I got both the long bath rug and smaller version for my shower. They shed quite a bit in the dryer the first time I washed them, but stayed very soft and comfy under my feet. Pretty absorbent too so for I get out of the shower or tub.
