As with all evaporative coolers they don’t work the best. They don’t replace an air conditioner. This one rotates and has a timer and settings but as far as cooling it doesn’t make a huge difference. Maybe a little bit. And if you can use an air conditioner this would be a good alternative.

This fan was exactly what we were looking for. We have a West facing bedroom and even with the AC on, it gets to 85 degrees. This unit gets the temp down enough to be comfortable in a California summer.
