Description
This American oak with a darkened ribs rain barrel is a 50-gallon rain saver that comes packed with features. Immediately, you can tell that this is a high-quality barrel. The deep wood grain texture and the darkened ribs pop out and capture the eye. The authentic whiskey barrel look is completed with two brass spigots. These spigots are located at locations to optimize flow: One at the bottom to get the most out of the barrel and one on the side to utilize buckets and linking. The spigots are 3/4″ and will work with all standard hoses. The top of the barrel holds a locking, removable top. By twisting, you can keep the barrel sealed to protect young ones and keep out mosquitos. Just twist it the other way and it lifts off. At the center of the lid is a mesh screen that will accommodate all standard downspouts and keep out bugs and leaves. The tapered nature of the lid minimizes splashing and funnels all the water toward the anti-debris screen. Start collecting fresh, chemical-free water for your lawn and garden with this American oak rain barrel.

Great barrel that has a removable top.I daisy-chained two together and also put a 2 inch pipe connector in the second one to run water to a separate project.I’ve put soaker hoses on most of the brass spigots (not in this pic), and I obviously raised the barrels pretty high to maximize gravity for water pressure.Put these in two days ago and waiting for a good rain so I haven’t seen them fill up yet.I hope that the gravity feed on the 2 inch outlet will provide the pressure I need for the side project these are feeding.

These are great. I bought 2 of them and hooked them together with a link kit which was very easy.They are very sturdy, well made, and look nice. I was pleasantly surprised that they came with spigots and stands which I had to purchase separately with other barrels I had purchased in the past. Removable lids are very convenient for using a submersible pump hooked to my garden hose. Would definitely buy again

I have only had them about a week. We have had so much rain that they filled up fast. I was able to hook a standard garden hose to the upper spigot and drain the half the barrels to a location further away from my house. So far I am very happy with them. I choose this style because it seemed more sturdy and weighed more than the others.

Perfect size and it’s looks rustic. Filled after the first rain and I can use it for my flowers. The screen area needs to have a little larger holes, in a hard rain it wasn’t going through.
