I have 3 orange cats, two 11-year-olds and an almost 2-year-old.My 11-year-old girl kitty is only around 6 pounds where as my two boys are both over 20 pounds each.My girl kitty and my 2-year-old boy kitty both are big climbers and climb all over this tree…all day every day. My 2-year-old has always loved to climb to the tallest point of everything to try and touch the ceiling and this tree has not disappointed him!My older and much larger boy kitty is not as much of a climber anymore but even he has been loving the bottom-level hideout to sleep.I was able to put this together by myself, with the occasional help of my 2-year-old kitty.This cat tree is everything it appears to be online and then some!It is EXTREMELY well constructed! The quality far exceeds any cat tree I’ve ever found in a store. The colors are not only complimentary to each other, but it also looks like something you’d find only in a magazine.The directions are fairly easy to follow, but they aren’t in color nor do they tell you things like the material of the pole you need next…but I just kept a picture of the finished cat tree up on my phone for reference and that helped a lot.Make sure to double-check the holes on the bottom of some of the platforms as there are a few that look the same but actually aren’t identical.The platform where the rope connects into was the one piece I had to fix 3 times because of not noticing specific details like this.Be sure to lay all your pieces out on the floor before starting and verifying that you have all the pieces you need.This helped me tremendously in familiarizing myself with each piece and labeling myself so I knew what was what quickly.If you are wondering if this cat tree is as great as it looks or if it will work for your larger cats, I can tell you without hesitation it is and you will be very happy with this purchase and your kitties will be even happier!
