With the appearance of a traditional wooden barrel, the slim-line design of the FCMO outdoor wood grain rain barrel makes it perfect for locations where a larger barrel would be intrusive. The shallower depth and flat back allow for easy installation and placement of the downspout while the safety rib in the top of the barrel keeps it child and pet safe. Spigots on the side of the barrel allow you to connect multiple rain catcher barrels in-series for easy expansion of your rainwater storage capacity. The corrosion-resistant debris screen keeps out debris and mosquitoes to keep the water clear and keep your family safe from insect-borne illnesses. Place them around your home to catch fresh chlorine-free water as it pours from your downspouts – water that would otherwise make its way into storm sewers only to be wasted. Rain barrels not only save you money but lessen the strain on water resources. The barrels are constructed of recycled, UV inhibited BPA-free polyethylene. My two rain barrels arrived quickly, each in a separate cardboard box. The only thing I needed to assemble them was a Phillips screwdriver and a razor knife.These are rectangular and therefore can be put flat against the wall of the house if you wish. They are made to look like wood grain, and I think they would be a little more pleasing to the eye if they were a brown color instead of gray. Now all I need is some rain. I will try to update this review at the end of the season. So far so good!

Bought 4 barrels. Great look, solid construction. Hose is a little flimsy in that it kinks easily, but for my needs,I’m replacing them with longer hoses.Filled and emptied nicely with the first rainstorm.

More like 3.50 stars because of the difficulty to connect two barrels to each other. That flexible house for connecting them has to be carefully position so it lets water through. The other issue is that the hose connection will leak if not tightened hard or at least use some plumbing tape around the thread.

These will be great this upcoming spring for garden water collection.They included a short hose that can be hooked onto a longer one.
The strange thing is that they were ordered together and seemnto be the exact same item, but one is a little smaller then the other. They won’t be side by side, so it is bot a big deal. I just found it strange.
