The bracket’s strength originates from the 1/4″ thick x 2″ wide piece of metal at the elbow of the bracket, so the longer the bracket is the more flex you will have.

Expensive, but it’s because they are strong!If you need a bracket that doesn’t have the cross support beam to help maximum your shelf space, this is a great bracket!If you need something very stable, then I would recommend the cross bracket style.This is perfect for storing puzzles, books and other reference items.
