The “man of the house” can be a bit picky, even stick in the mud-ish, when he decides on what he would enjoy the most to make his spare time more enjoyable.After 6 attempts to get a reading light that fit all his requirements, number 7 hit the jackpot!This floor lamp is made by someone else that loves reading the paper or a good book with the brightest light and would withstand visits with the grandkids without a single twinge or rocking motion.The brass color is perfect and the shade directs the light just right.Very easy assembly and we even went to a bit smaller size bulb to keep the shade from becoming too warm.This floor lamp would be excellent for anyone doing hand stitching, embroidery, even jigsaw puzzles.
