I really like this desk caddy. It looks great on our dark wood desk. The compartments are the perfect sizes for what I needed. Love the cross pattern to hold the pens and pencils so they don’t fall over and look sloppy in a big open space.

First of all, this is NOT made of cardboard, as suggested in another review; it’s recycled fiberboard, and very sturdy. I got the blue one, and it’s quite attractive. It’s also much more useful than most similar desk organizers in that it easily holds 8.5″x11″ pads or notebooks in the back compartment. The front left compartment accommodates my iPhone; the middle section holds 4’x6′ index cards and a small notebook; and my pens and emery boards stand up conveniently in the divided compartment on the right. It vastly increases the neatness and capacity of my tiny table, and I’m very pleased with it. Oh, and it has tiny soft-plastic feet to avoid marring my table top. It’s a real find!
