Description
Our 55-gallon gray barrels are a great “neutral†color that looks nice with the green plants and trees in your garden. They hide well behind deciduous trees and bushes, and won’t clash with any color house. Heavy-duty screening keeps mosquitoes out. Our rain barrels are uniquely designed with plastic fittings that match the rate of expansion and contraction of barrel plastic from season to season to avoid leakage. These rain barrels are repurposed from pre-used overseas food barrels. There may be slight scratching or scuffs due to previous overseas transportation. Since our rain barrels are made of high-density polyethylene plastic they can be left outdoors even in the winter months so there is no need to modify your downspouts in the spring and fall. The exact shape of the barrels may vary due to availability but the color and size remain true. Because these barrels were originally used to transport food, there may be residual food product odor. The residual odor will dissipate after a few full barrel-filling cycles. We use a ph-balanced, environmentally friendly soap when cleaning so that the water gathered can immediately be used on plants without harm. These barrels keep difficult to break down plastics from adding bulk to landfills and also contain and repurpose stormwater.

Nice looking barrels with pre-installed spigots and connectors for additional barrels.No leaks on any of the fittings.Long lead time for these barrels, but the grey compliments our home and deck colors, so it was worth the wait.
I used the Rain Reserve Fill Kit for dual rain barrels, so I am not linking the barrels via the interconnect fittings, but I’m sure they would work fine.These aren’t sealed barrels, so be sure to install the diverter at the right height in the drain spout so it bypasses the rain barrels once they are full.With my roof layout, two decent thunderstorms filled the barrels!
Overall, very pleased with the barrels and fill kit.

These are very nice & as repurposed food barrels you cannot tell, cause they look brand new & are attractive. I bought 2 of these for use in my garden along with aEarthmined Diverter System. I made my own custom collection system that I hardpiped with pvc pipe & collected 110 gallons of fresh clean rainwater our 1st downpour for my garden!

Love the barrel and the fact I can remove the lid. (Previous barrels had only a small opening in top for gutter to drain into) Bought 2 and chained them together. Used the set up all last season. Was afraid the spigot wouldn’t hold up, but have had no problems.Bonus is that they match the color of my house!

This rain barrel is exactly the same as the one that it replaces. So…I can tell you that the old one lasted many years without any problems whatsoever and I can recommend it without reservations. However, the wooden stand that can be purchased separately is another matter. Over the years the stand deteriorated and the top rotted thru with the result being it no longer supported the bottom of the rain barrel. The bottom of the rain barrel became pushed out (exerted) and the bottom seam of the barrel split open and could not be repaired. Buy the rain barrel. Do not buy the wooden stand. My new rain barrel is sitting up on a stack of used bricks.
