This is such a well thought out, well designed box spring!The frame is black coated steel with wooden slats, and it’s very sturdy.Once assembled, there’s a zippered cover with which you can cover the frame.I’m a novice at putting together furniture, so I was worried that the weight of the frame might be too much for me to handle.However, I was able to put it together within one hour!Also, there’s a bonus tool in there – a little Allen wrench rachet that is just awesome!
I absolutely recommend this box spring.

Strong box springs! Delivery was quick. Everything was packaged up and comes with directions so easy to put together with a few steps. Very light that you can put together in one room and pull to the bedroom. Love Zinus products. No doubt this is a great investment for my bed.

This is a great box spring. I recently bought a bed frame and a new mattress and was looking for something that wouldn’t add a lot of height. This is perfect! While it is heavy, it seems very sturdy and was very easy to put together. I love the ratchet hex tool! Made putting it together even easier and the cover went in without any issues.

Got a foam mattress from Wayfair, but forgot that I need a good platform for it. I didn’t want the bed to be too high, so I got the 4” queen box spring. I like how it’s a combo metal frame and wooden slats. This combo creates a really study box spring. Easy to assemble, great construction, good quality, reasonably priced, and the perfect height for my 12” foam mattress as the box spring is barely rises above my bed frame. I’ve only had this for a two weeks, but so far so good.

This metal box spring is QUALITY. I have to say I’m impressed with the packaging, clarity of the instructions (along with the numbered pieces for easy assembly), and the overall sturdiness of the frame. You can really tell when a company has high QA / QC standards and I believe Zinus did a great job with this bed frame. The bunky board (wooden slats) have Velcro on both the slats and the side rails so those will stay put within the frame. The cover slips over the top and zips all around to make a complete cover over the while frame.
