It is a tiny bit smaller than most stools of this same style. So if you have a wider stance or bigger hipsthicker thighs you may find there isn’t enough width to stand on this stool. But since I’m average heightweight for a 30 yr old female I used this stool with a regular level of caution and it works just fine for me. I could see how my gma may not like it because she’s a bit older, heavier and also wider in her stance than I am. Seems to be pretty sturdy. Overall, I’m happy with it and so is my seven year old. It works absolutely perfect for him.

I was actually looking for foot stools at a certain height for use with my patio chairs and that would also slide under chairs when not in use. These work perfectly rather you just want to prop your feet on the lower step or relax a while and put your feet up. Bonus, they’re also extra seating and being very short, they come in handy if I need to hang items on the patio area or decorate for holidays.
