I was really nervous about buying such an expensive bed, but I’m glad I did. I spent a long time trying to find the best storage bed for my needs, and I’m so excited to finally have it. My room is small, so this bed has saved me a massive amount of room. Plus, as you can see by my photo, my dog is a huge fan.

We love this bed! It was easy to assembleI was able to do it all on my own except for the brace that supports the slats. My husband had to hold it in place while I attached it. We got the drawers on each side, great storage for bedding, toys, booksclothes. It’s for our son who just got out of a toddler bed and he couldn’t be more happy either!

The instructions were easy to easy-to-follow. My 14 year old helped me build it since it was for him. He absolutely loves it. I guess I didnt read the description thoroughly but I was expecting cheap compressed wood particle board like you find at discount stores. This is actual solid wood so I was even more pleased once it arrived. Very high quality!

Super easy to put together. I love how amazing this bed is for such a small living space. Perfect for my new place!

Even better then I thought, the only thing that could make it better is if had a small whole to feed cords through.

I bought this for my 13 year old son, as he has outgrown his twin captains bed and wanted another one like it in larger size. He loves it, and the full size goes great in his room.
Pros
This arrived in 5 boxes, all undamaged. The 2 drawer units were fully assembled, with drawer glides that were well aligned. All the hardware was there, and well labeled. This is solid wood, and very sturdy once it was put together. It is really beautiful to look at once its done. The shelves in the headboard are adjustable, and the distressed gray finish is exactly as described online.
You can attach the drawer units to the headboard and footboard with the included hardware, or just let them sit under the bed. We did not attach them because they are a solid unit that doesnt move when the drawers are opened and closed, but I like having the option.
The steel mattress support rails instead of wooden slats was a nice touch. These support rails were pre-welded in four, 4-rail units that you just lay on top of the bed rails and then screw in. Then theres a steel center support rail that screws into the headboard and footboard.
For decorating purposes,if you get the gray like I did, it is a gray that pulls green tones rather than blue tones. You wont notice it unless you have a lot of other green in the room, but the color gray has a lot of variations,so I thought Id mention it.
Cons
As others have mentioned, this does take several hours to put together, and you will need 2 people when it comes time to connect the rails to the headboard and footboard. Also, as others have noted, the holes for the dowels dont always line up.We found this to be a huge problem with putting the headboard together, and it required me to remove a few dowels so I could get the pieces to align for the screws that actually hold it together. It was a pain to figure out why it wasnt lining up, so Im glad I have experience with how to assemble furniture and could figure out the problem. It is absolutely essential that you get the headboard put together correctly,or it wont align withthe rails. Also, many of the screws do not have guide holes for them in the furniture,so Id recommend using a drill. I also had to widen the holes for the shelf supports in the headboard,so we wont be adjusting those at any point in the future!
Also a slight con, but not a deal breaker by any means, is that the bottoms of the drawers are very thin birch, like what you would build a model airplane out of. So I wouldnt put anything heavy in those drawers, but they will be fine for clothes, extra pillows, or bed linens, as long as you dont overstuff them.
Final verdict
Overall, Im really happy with the bed. We got the drawer units for both sides of the bed (12 total), and theres still plenty of storage in the middle that is accessible from a door in the footboard (my son, who is 57, was able to army-crawl all the way inside it from that footboard door without touching the drawer units on either side!).My son loves it, and its sturdy enough to last him through the teen years. It will then make a great guest bed once he eventually grows up and moves out!

I was concerned after seeing some of the negative reviews for this bed, but I’m very happy with it.The quality is average, but so is the price. As mentioned elsewhere, the drawers come assembled. One of the drawers was broken when I received it, but I submitted an online request for a replacement drawer and it arrived within days.I did not have to replace the entire assembled drawer area. The whole process was extremely easy. The bed was easy to assemble.I’m very happy with this purchase.

It is perfect for my 9yo son. He loves the crawl space and the many drawers to organize his clothes…no need for a dresser. The directions were straight forward and easy to follow, just have some patience. I finished in just under an hour. Absolutely love it!

My teenage daughter LOVES the bed.She was moving from a loft bed with storage space underneath and really wanted to keep at least some storage, so we were looking for a bed with drawers underneath and a bookcase at the headboard, so this bed was perfect and a good price compared to what else I was finding. The bed is made out of extremely lightweight wood, so we explained this won’t be a bed for jumping on, but seems sturdy enough. The first bed that was delivered had some damage and would not be safe if we used it as-is.We called Wayfair, and they sent another bed, and since we’d opened the boxes, they packaged everything up for us and took out the old bed.We didn’t have to try to re-package it or anything, which was a relief (huge chunks of the bed come already put together, and the easiest way to get it out of the box is to rip open the box, so it would have taken a LOT of effort and packing tape). The customer service was so good, we will actively look to buy from Wayfair in the future, we know if there are issues, there’s no doubt they will take care of it (we were really worried about that when we saw the damaged/defective bed).If your bed does not arrive perfect, I strongly recommend you call their customer service – they were so understanding and ready to fix the problem, whatever it was.Overall, we are happy with the bed and the entire experience. The only thing to note to someone looking at this bed for a smaller (shorter) child is that the bed with mattress was a little higher than my daughter (and I) was expecting. No biggie for us, but it could be a surprise and require a step stool for a smaller kid.The biggest drawback for us is that now my daughter spends most of her free time sprawled out on her bed doing her homework or playing rather than out in the living area with us.She’s designated drawers for different stuff (drawing stuff, D&D stuff, etc.), but now she doesn’t have to leave the bed at all most of the time. She isn’t missing the loft bed storage at all, this bed has a lot of storage. She really does love the bed.
