I think it’s wonderful! The weight makes all the difference! I made a wooden press but the weight was too light. Then, I went back to using a pie plate but, that started taking a toll on my hands. I read the instructions for making tortillas and I like to use a bit Just under 1-2/3 cups of water to 2 cups of Maseca’smix.

I used this the day I received it , used some clear plastic wrap so they didn’t stick it was so easy and my Husband and I enjoyed the taste of fresh corn tortillas , there is no comparison to the ones we used to buy in the stores which were pretty much dried out and stiff , the ones I made with this cast iron tortilla press were so very good , I was able to make rolled tacos and they didn’t crack or come apart , thank you sooo much for having this product !
