I love this mat. I hesitated getting one because I wasn’t sure how the water would evaporate underneath/how the wood would dry out, etc. The only time I have to dry underneath is when all 3 of our young kids take a shower in turn. Otherwise there’s not a bunch of water under. And the wood dries just fine. I LOVE this. Sooo much better than our bath mat that would stay damp regularly. Plus it looks nice.

We’ve had a teak chair to use in the shower but the shower was too small to hold it. Well now our circumstances has given us my dream shower. It is open with freedom to move around and fits that teak chair we’ve had for several years. When I saw this teak shower mat I could not believe it. I was looking for some kind of bath mat that wasn’t ugly, created mildew, “scum” or mold.I didn’t want one of those plastic flimsy nasty mats or that stuff glued to the floor.I didn’t know what I wanted.When I saw this I immediately knew that would be mine.It keeps me from falling and the shower looks like a magazine photo now!I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS “MAT” (fine piece of wooden “furniture”)!

Omigosh this Teak Mat is gorgeous and supportive under foot! We had recently bought 2 from another vendor, those will be repurposed as patio tables or something. This Cathrine mat is such a great value! See my photos how well the reverse side is constructed so the person is supported w no sag points. Photo 1 shows the comparison of the tops, the one IN the shower is the Cathrine, the one outside the shower is the competitor. Roughly same price. Photo 2 shows the bottom of the mats, the extra wood support no doubt holds that beautiful wood pattern in place but also gives super support and steadiness, again compared to the competition’s one outside the shower w only 3 support pieces, typical of all other teak mats I’ve seen or owned. This very beautiful Cathrine Teak Shower Mat has upgraded our shower to a luxury hotel experience. Love it!
