Transolid ultra-low linear shower bases are the perfect choice to replace an old tub. They are to accommodate traditional tub sizes and the drain from the wall to line up with an existing tub drain. Made of numerous layers of transition, a sheet-molded compound material that is solid throughout the base and is supported by sturdy structural ribs underneath that radiate out from the drain opening. When combined with a thin-set mortar installation, this creates a flex-free, water-tight installation and a foundation that you can count on. The base features an ultra-low threshold that is just a smidgen wider to even accommodate popular farmhouse-style barn doors. The surface is scratch, impact, and slip-resistant with a beautiful slate finish for a minimalist look.

Shower base is solid and probably the heaviest I have used, making it a high quality base. Don’t be afraid of the gray color it is a very light gray and will look perfect with subway tile surround with warm gray grout lines. Only issue was a very small chip on the outer lip of the item by the shipper but Wayfair made it right.
