This press does exactly what I wanted in a stovetop grill. It heats evenly, sears steaks and chops perfectly, and cleans up beautifully. The press (it’s not a lid) works with this pan and with any other pan in which you want a piece of meat to lie flat while browning. I’m glad I bought this model instead of the ones priced double or even triple what I paid.

The cast iron pan is great for grilling steaks, hot dogs and bacon.There is a cast iron press that comes with the pan and I use it to help keep my bacon from curling up.You can use the press on top of your hambergers too.Good price and good pan.I like cast iron pans.
