This is a cute village set.I am using it for Christmas decor, but they have a farmhouse look so can be displayed year-round.They look exactly as pictured – nice thick ceramic houses with a large back cut out and cut outs for windows.I put fairy lights inside mine to light them up for the holidays.I also put a few miniature trees around the houses for the holidays.During the rest of the year, I think they will just be shelf ornaments here and there in my home.I like the colors.I generally am not a fan of yellow and this set has 2 yellow pieces, but the other colors are nice and they all blend to look very “farmhouse primitive.”

This is exactly what I was looking for. I didn’t want something that looked like it was designed by Thomas Kinkade. These fit perfectly on the mantel and there is a hole on the backside to place a bulb or small LED candle.
Please note: the trees do not come with the set. These were purchased separately at a local store.
