The glow is luminous. The light has a shadow to it that it looks like it’s flickering. Each candle requires 3 “AAA” batteries and mine lasted for about 30 days on the 4hr timer.

Product works well , but knocked a star off bc it came with paint all over the glass on 2 of them and cant use. However, the company was very good with replacing and I am satisfied.
