Like most baby gates, it takes a little bit to get used to opening and closing it, but it looks good and is really sturdy
I don’t have dogs, so I can’t speak to how sturdy it is for pups, but it’s strong enough for my baby.
Install was a little tricky because I have baseboards and also I wasn’t able to make the mounted posts exactly a cross from each other.
I made spacers for one side that had a thicker baseboard, and the other side I just screwed it in so it’s at a slight angle. But it seems to work fine.
**It’s important to note that if the gate doesn’t seem to be swinging very well, adjust the bolts on the hinge!
