This is nicely weighted, I couldn’t detect any defects or splitting of the wood.They look beautiful.I love the rounded handle.I haven’t had a chance to use them yet, so can’t say how they will stand up to use, but I don’t foresee any issues.

received this a couple days ago immediately put it to use on my beautiful staub cocotte. this spoon is not only beautifulbut designed so well.did not hold any odors at all.i want more utensils from staub in olivewood.
