Fertilize every two to four weeks during spring and summer. Withhold fertilizer during the fall and winter months.
Water thoroughly every 2 weeks. Watering too often can cause root rot. Be sure to let the soil dry out at least half an inch or so between waterings. In winter, water once monthly.
Use well-drained soil. Regular potting soil or dirt won’t do. Use cactus soil/mix potting soil with sand/pumice/perlite. Approx 6 hrs of sun per day. Gradually give the plant more sunlight each day.
