The unfinished barn door is made of 100% natural spruce. The surface is unfinished and ready to be stained. The unfinished doors can be stained or painted to the desired color. Single door. Sliding rail kit not included.

Mimi (66 year old grandma) put this door together and painted it!The assembly was easy and I found that even with sanding some of the panels were still a bit rough but this IS a barn door and I really like the finished look.The door has been installed in room that is being converted from home office into a bedroom with a murphy bed so we needed a door without a swing radius. This was a perfect choice!
**The handle I used was not the one included in door purchase.

The pre-cut wood to make these barn doors were perfect! They are ready for any stain you would like and it took the finish very well. We saved a lot of money going this route vs. buying the doors fully made. I will say that installing these on our own (it would happen with any of the barn doors) was really difficult with our walls and floor not being perfectly level, but we made it through and we could not be happier with the end result!

When I first opened the box…..I thought so many pieces, but after you locate the top, middle and bottom boards it is rather easy to put together.
They look nice after they were stained.
