This stretchy cover worked well to cover my old orange chair.It is 2 parts, with one stretchy elastic banded coverpiece for the seat cushion and the larger part to pull down over the whole chair. I ordered it in a light gray, and it looks great.You definitely need a special seat cover made only for wingback type chairs. Other covers won’t cover the wings properly. This one does.

Very easy to put on, Nice and stretchy and tight at the same time, soft to the touch, my dog loves it. It’s the only chair he wants to sit in now. I haven’t washed it yet but I think I will put it in cold wash and hang it up to dry so that it doesn’t shrink. My chair is not very well padded but it’s still a snug fit without extra material bagging around. A fairly neutral denim color, not exciting but cozy.

Full disclosure is that I used to run a store that did custom interiors, so I am used to making things look good when it involves stretching, pulling or forming fabric and I am really good with t-pins and ball-head basting pins. Still, if it’s badly sewn or bad fabric, there’s nothing I can do. I had just ordered this chair because all the stores were closed and it arrived stained and with a wonky leg. The company made me whole so I thought I’d try a slipcover. This chair is 48” tall and doesn’t really even have wings. It is a scoop back. The maximum height allowable for the slipcover is 43” but this cover fits beautifully. There is a bit extra fabric across the back but I just formed a box pleat (like in a bed skirt) in the center of the back of the chair and pinned it down (way below the cushion) with some t-pins front and back. You can see the result looks quite nice! The fabric is soft, but not baggy and I anticipate years of good use.
