It is high enough for your doggie to get to the top of the bed. This is for small to medium dogs. Too steep or narrow for a big dog.

Its ok for the price. I have a 22 pound King Charles, and she uses it just fine. The only thing that sucks is that I have tile flooring and it slides pretty easily when she is making the transition from the stairs to the bed. I put a weight under the stairs and against the plastic to help prevent it from slipping. It would be nice if it had better rudder stickers for the bottom.
