They have a narrow, low Hgtlip which *aids holding glassware in place*- able to secure both my bev glasses & wine stems WITHIN the RIM’s INTERIOR diameter = to 3 1/4 “ – 3 3/8 “.Be mindful (dependent on your own bev bases width) a potential for small drip to wend its way to your tablecloth as opposed to greater diameter coasters. Still I approved – got 3 sets to accompany my Portmeirion dinner; allowing an alternate wider style choice to allow for 2 beverages ea setting. No photos
