This door is perfect. It was a breeze for a handyman to install (took him an hour and 15 min – and that was with some complications within the wall itself). I shopped around for quite awhile so if you are about to do the same, just save the time and buy this dog door.

This is a great door! My Frenchie figured it out, but she is a little hesitant because the magnets are so strong she doesn’t think they’ll open. She just has to put her bull head against it and she can get in and out very easily. My builder put it in and was pretty impressed with the whole thing. It was a fairly inexpensive solution to a tough problem when one has a dog but doesn’t want to ruin their house. This is replacing another great item that was a door filler for a sliding door but I got tired of walking sideways through, constantly hitting it, and jaring it out of place. Highly recommend the permanent one one. This is a great door!
