Excellent opening size for our pet who is 18 lbs. I purchased the Medium opening. Our sliding door is a custom height of 12 FT, not a normal height, so using the extensionincluded with the patio panel still doesn’t reach the top of the sliding door, which of course is not the problem of the manufacturer of this product. We remedied the problem by using and cutting to size a disposable hard foam cooler, fitted with a foam edge window and door sealer in order to eliminate cool and hot air from coming in and out. It’s not perfect, but works for our pet and for our use.

Installation is fast, albeit means driling holes in your sliding glass door tracks and wall.Some skittish dogs hate it but my ginormous great Pyrenees puppy loves it and fits great in the large size.
