I just received it. It is a nice looking and sleek on the counter. It lights up in a cool blue when charging. Once charged, unplug it and you are ready to go. It lights up again when you use the opener. It easily coils into the cork, then smoothly retracts it. Then, hit the button and the cork comes back down to be removed from the opener. The clear tunnel allows you to see the cork and the end of the corkscrew, which makes it easier. Very pleased with it. The only thing to be aware of is it is not quiet to use. You may get caught trying to sneak open a bottle at 2 a.m. Tee hee.

This was easy enough for the most non- mechanical person ( me) to use right out of the box. Remove – able top that holds the foil cutter. Everything worked easily and smoothly.Corks unscrew with out splitting or chipping.Four instead of five stars because like so many products today, it is made from a light weight plastic that I cannot imagine will hold up forever. But the low price so far makes it a deal.
***UPDATE: 18 months later and plenty of use, it works really well. GREAT gift. so changed to 5 stars

I got tired of seeing my sister-in-law using the hand held manual cork screw. It was painful. Even more so when I insisted on opening the wine for her. So I decided to get her this as a gift and she loves it! I haven’t used it yet because she won’t let anyone touch it so I can’t speak for it’s functionality. But judging by her reaction, it’s incredible.

Cons: Just a little loud when operating
