Quality hardwood.A fair amount of assembly, but solid construction.The finish was pretty good, but had some minor scuffs.Overall, I was happy with the purchase and price.

This armless futon frame solved a big problem for us! Our old compact full-size sleeper sofa broke was only ‘meh’ comfy, and the sling that held the mattress had torn beyond repair. This futon is only about 6 inches wider (and 3 inches deeper) than our old, broken compact full-size sleeper sofa. It came in 3 boxes (over 2 days) . I took my time putting it together, but assembled it in a few hours. (Read instructions carefully, and I highly recommend watching the vids on YT.) Needed one minute of my son’s time to help me with a step.The results are GREAT!

I just got this and put it together so I can’t speak on durability yet but it arrived undamaged and is exactly what I was looking for. It’s pretty easy to use and feels sturdy. I got the cherry finish and it perfectly matches my other furniture in the room.
As others mentioned the directions and labels aren’t completely accuratethe easiest but I just checked the set up video online whenever I got a little hung up. I didn’t have any issues with hardware or lining things up.

I only give this 4 stars because one of the pieces arrived cracked. We were not able to assemble it in time for this review but Wayfair is sending us a replacement part so I will update this after that arrives and it is assembled as for the rest of the pieces, it appears to be very good quality.
