Fear not, this set is made with highly durable vitrified porcelain that is fired at a much higher temperature making it chip resistant. While dropping them onto a tile floor isn’t recommended, this set can take the repeated dropping of heavy knives or forks. If you hate washing dishes as much as we don’t fret, this set is dishwasher-safe. For even more convenience, use them in the microwave, freezer, and oven.

I love these dishes! They came securely packed, no broken dishes. Has a nice weight to it, but not heavy like stoneware. The cereal bowls don’t stack as nice as the dinner plates and the shallow soup bowl. But for the price point this is a nice modern dish set. I highly recommend.
