I had someone put the desk together and it took him 2.5 hours. The antique color is beautiful and the desk seems very sturdy. Having the keyboard tray and a hutch was what sold me to it. And got it on sale. I would recommend this desk.
The desk is shipped in one box and I had to take the parts out in order to get it in my home. Very heavy! Need 3 people to lift it.

OMG.. this desk is beautiful.. and it was a snap to put together, the instructions were so clear to read and understand.. I’m almost 60 years old and did it by myself.. yeah it took me a little longer as it would if you had help, but it was still simple and easy, thank you… 🙂

The piece looks nice when assembled. Assembly was a little tricky – Some of the main pieces are smooth and painted on one side, and then exposed rough MDF on the other side – so early on in the assembly, I installed a main board backwards, and didn’t realize it until I’d nailed some other stuff in, and it was a bear correcting it. Assembly will take a few hours, so be patient!
Everything came un-damaged, which is great. I do wish a couple of the assembly pieces were a little more substantial (the backing of the top-most book rack is a thin almost cardboard-like particle backing) that you nail in. I can see that becoming damaged or busting out at some point. But for the money (I bought it on sale at $229.99), it’s a large, solid desk.

Fits perfectly in my 10×10 office without overwhelming the space but has plenty of desk room for my huge monitor, laptop, and notepads & hutch/shelf room for books and knick knacks. I paid for the assembly, and it was the best decision! It took one guy two hours to put together and probably saved me my marriage. Arrived 3 days after I ordered it and wasn’t missing any pieces, but it IS heavy – the box weighed 125 lbs so make sure you have a friend to help move it.
