It came in 3 boxes. Its a solid, heavy piece of furniture. It was fairly simple to assemble by myself and Im not big girl. Just be methodical and read the instructions thoroughly. Give yourself plenty of floor space to work! It took me a couple hours to assemble. Ive slept on it several times and Im happy with it.

I needed something to sit on and an over night bed for guests.Bought Ordered the full size Barbados futon.It is a big piece of furniture but had the room for it.It is harder to operate than I thought it would be but plan for the guests to help me unfold and fold it.
Love the drawers underneath.They are big enough to store the pillows and bedding to makeup the bed.Also I apprciate the end tables having a choice of up or down.

One of the bottom drawers was missing the dowels to put together.I called the company Kodiak Furniture and was told they would send those out.I received an email with an invalid tracking number. I gave the company the benefit of the doubt, but it’s been a week and still no dowels.
12/17/20 UPDATE.We got the dowels for the drawers and absolutely love this futon.

Very impressed! We bought this for our 14 year old son because he insists on a futon over a regular bed and we wanted something better than a wiremetal frame. The wood is great quality! My husbands exact words when it came to the directions were this is dummy proof. The parts were not only numbered, but also color coded. He said it was the easiest set of building instructions he’s ever had to follow. Our son even jumped in and was able to help with no problems and he struggles with cognitive issues. Once assembled, we ere highly impressed with the features and quality! The side tables are easy to operate and the drawers hold more than we thought they would! I forgot to get a good picture before before putting his bedding on. But we are very impressed with this purchase and my husband saved the company tag for future furniture purchases. Our son has also mentioned it is very comfortable to sleep on. Definitely recommend if you’re in the market for a solid quality futon!

I hate to shop, so I only do it online. But that isn’t as easy as everyone thinks it is. You are taking a leap of faith that the color is right or the workmanship is there. Well, I can tell you that this frame is just perfect! It was well packaged and was really easy toput together, which is a good thing because the graphics that come with it, aren’t very helpful. If you’ve ever put together a bird house, you can do this! It took us about 1./2 and hour, and 1/2 of that was spent turning the graphic every which way to figure out how to read it (okay, so I exaggerate a bit.) We did choose the drawers option, which I think makes it look more like a futon/bed than it futon/couch. But, they too are well made and beautiful. This futon frame is expensive, however, I wanted one that had great support. I didn’t want any of people who would be using to wake up miserable from a lousy support. If you’ve ever spent even one night on an old pull out sofa, you get what I mean. The only thing I don’t like, and it’s really not important, is how the tables supports work. I think if you turn it the wrong way, you could snap off the supports, But, that may just be that we put it together wrong! It’s a great product. Buy it and love it!
