We have ordered several pickles as gifts for loved ones.It has been our family tradition since living in Germany for 4 years.Santa, or someone,hides the pickle on Christmas Eve and the person who finds it on Christmas morning gets a special present called the pickle present.We have always selected a game as the pickle present.It will be the game we play that holiday with the family.Just love this tradition!

It’s an old English custom to hide a pickle in a Christmas tree, and in the tradition, the first child to find the pickle wins a prize. Although there are no children in the family, I am giving this pickle to my sister-in-law for her tree for good luck. It’s perfect!

This was the only ornament that arrived in it’s own box (the rest were very well bubble wrapped, which was fine). I like that I’ll be able to store it in it’s box. And, the ornament is very cute and arrived in perfect condition.
