Great quality steel mantel, sturdy construction! There is no holes pre-drilled but that’s actually not too bad because all configurations are different anyways. I had to mount it on metal studs behind the tiles and non-combustible board, not as easy as I thought but it’s nothing to do with the product. Color is real black and not greenish as I’ve seen with other (more expensive) mantels. Very happy with my purchase!!

This mantel is great. The quality is superb, tight tolerances, beautiful finish. We mounted it with 4 38 redheads into the old brick fireplace. It is solid. No sag at all. Others have reviewed that theirs had a tilt, but we found it to be perfectly true (note that if your wall is not plumb, you should shim behind the mantel or you will get a slanted outcome).

This is a high quality non-combustible mantel that looks amazing! We got it to deflect the heat from the TV we’ll mount above the gas fireplace.Installation is easy, but you should know what you’re doing (drill, tape measure, level and screwdriver or socket wrench are all you’ll need). I’m beyond happy with this US made mantle… it’s perfect!
