The seats are upholstered in velvet with a foam filling and feature biscuit tufting for a hint of retro appeal. Super easy to put together however the instructions suggest an extra piece that I didn’t receive and the original picture did not have it, so don’t panic as this is not a essential piece maybe decorative. Overall pretty comfortable so far, will need to see how they do over time.

I LOVEthese little bar stools!! I am decorating a new apartment and I wanted to bring in some color and the deep pink is wonderful. The seat goes up high enough for my kitchen bar, but also low enough to use at the dining room table. At the in between height, my littlest grandchild can sit at the table or the bar, brilliant. The hydrologic lift is very smooth and the stool does not feel wobbly at all. The flat black of the base lends a very nice aesthetic. Im extremely pleased with my purchase
