I found this stool to be perfect in my standard sized bathtub for a bench to sit on while taking a shower. I fold a handtowel on the seat to make it comfy to sit on.I can put my feet on the first step to more easily use a brush on them and to shave my legs. I’m 72 and was finding it harder to balance and I sometimes found showering tiring. This stool has been really helpful..better than an expensive bench seat that leaks water into the hollow seat and legs. This stool doesn’t have any hollow insides to collect putrid water in and it wipes down easily after showering
I measured the tub before I purchased to make sure the legs would sit in the flat part of the tub.After showering, there is just enough room to store it next to the toilet, so the shower is free for a younger person to use…or can just be left in the tub if no one else needs the shower.I would NOT use it to stand on in the shower, but it’s the perfect solution for sitting on.
